Missions

Grace Covenant Church desires to be a church that works heartily to make the name of Jesus known here in Bay County and all around the world. We believe that Jesus’ last command to, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you” (Matt. 28:19-20a), should be our first priority. At the same time, we recognize that making disciples, baptizing them, and teaching them to obey the commands of Jesus is not something that happens overnight, nor is it something that we can do by ourselves.

That’s why all of our missions efforts, whether it be evangelizing non-Christians or discipling Christians, is done through a local church. Rather than trying to find as many partners in as many places around the world as we can, we seek to plant deep roots with churches in strategic areas where our church can work to glorify Christ through evangelism and discipleship in and through the local church. We work to support missionaries who are laboring in this way, through the local church, and we partner most heavily with organizations who believe that the local church is God’s plan for reaching His people.

Our desire is for every member of Grace Covenant Church to have meaningful involvement in God’s work around the world, so part of our strategic involvement in different parts of the world is how best our current membership can get involved in these works.
